SW Spring Break

Join us on a one-week getaway to the American Southwest, specifically Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. It was early April, just at the onset of the busy spring/summer tourism season, and timing was everything in avoiding the crowds and being able to truly appreciate God’s creation in this glorious landscape.

There are so many reasons to visit this area. With only a week to work with, and prior visits to the Grand Canyon and Bryce NP, we decided to focus on Zion NP and Sedona, AZ, and were not disappointed. On our route, which originated and ended in Las Vegas, we were able to take the time to enjoy other magical locations and vistas.

  • Valley of Fire SP

An hour east of Las Vegas and on the route to Zion, Valley of Fire was the perfect first adventure.

  • Zion NP

The majestic peaks and cathedral-like structures of Zion were best appreciated early in the season and early in the day.

  • Page, AZ

A funky tiny home in Page was the perfect base to explore local slot canyons and other natural works of art.

  • Sedona, AZ

Hiking and eating with the locals helped us navigate this gorgeous, but very popular, location.
